I haven’t posted in forever. Do you even remember who I am? How the hell has it got to June already, seriously?
May turned out to be a hectic month and June looks set to be the same. I feel like I don’t have two minutes with which to catch my breath at the moment. In fact I’m even writing this post while laying in the bath (the only justification for not having a time saving shower).
The last half of May was a little bit rubbish, especially a few events surrounding my birthday – which I won’t get into here. However May ended on a high note, a murder mystery for my birthday which you can read about here (as I won’t realistically get around to writing about it myself). I also finished my last job, had half term off with the kids (plus my birthday and party, and friends that visited too) as well as spent many a day decorating my partner’s house. As you know I took part in BEDM, which I did all except the last day’s one (which was summing up the experience). I enjoyed it but in all honesty it burnt me out on the blogging front and I also didn’t have time for certain blog posts outside of BEDM which I had wanted to make. Also the subjects got real wishy-washy at the end too. I don’t think it’s something I’d do again in a hurry, especially not in a busy month like May turned out to be.
Now June is here and I’ve started my new job as Catering Assistant in a local private school. I work an hour more a day than I did before, a day more than I did before and instead of sitting down all day at a computer, I’m constantly on my feet. I like the job but like all new jobs, being the newbie sort of sucks. The four people I work with are nice though and that helps. Finding it super exhausting especially since we spent three evenings last week over at my partner’s house decorating, another evening making a cake(s) for my brothers birthday party and then another actually hosting the party.
I might make another post about the party as it was a games night and we played some cool games. However don’t hold your breath. No more plans for Murder Mysteries or games nights as yet, but possibly organising something for a couple of weeks time, for another friend’s birthday.
Barely watched any TV in weeks. The only thing I’m keeping up on is GoT and Revolution. My Sky box is probably crying out for me to empty it! Sad about Matt Smith not being Doctor Who any more mind you, even if I haven’t watched any of this series yet (well since Christmas).
As I’ve written this on my phone and the app isn’t great for photos, might make a catch up in photos post a little later or tomorrow. However at least I’ve broken the blogging silence now. I also promise to catch up on reading everyone’s blogs too, though I have kept up to date with my favs (even if I haven’t commented!)
Blog again soon!
