So as part of my new year goals, I’m wanting to focus more on my blog and get more organised. As such I want to catch up on a long overdue review for a set of scales I was kindly gifted.
Ozeri Precision II Digital Bathroom Scales are the third item I have been gifted from Ozeri. (You can find the other posts here under my Ozeri tag). The first was kitchen scales, next was a set of four glasses and now the bathroom scales. I originally picked to review these as I planned to go on a diet and lose weight. It seemed like the perfect incentive to be honest. However life didn’t turn out that way and instead I got overwhelmed by November and especially December. Since I now need to submit my review and a new year has rolled around, I intend to get off my butt and start my weight loss.
As always the scales came well packaged and via courier. Even just opening the box felt exciting, which I feel is perhaps a sad reflection on my life these days!
Anyway I took the scales out of the packaging and photographed both sides of the box they came in. There’s loads of information about the scales listed there, including its bright screen and its instant on function.
Inside the box itself the scales were still well packaged. They also came with batteries which is nice to find these days as so many things don’t. There was also a small instructions booklet for the use of the scales.
At the time the scales just ended up getting put into the bathroom and not really used. I’ve had them out once or twice but largely due to guilt over my terrible eating, I’ve left them well alone. That said, now I have mentally committed to trying to lose weight this new year, I braved stepping onto the scales and giving them a proper trial.
While I won’t get into how many items of clothing I was wearing each time I stepped on and off the scales, I did give them a good trial. Sometimes stepping on with clothes, other times not, then sometimes picking up an object to add weight again etc. The scales seem very accurate which makes a nice change. I’m very used to the scales that you get on and off three times and have a different result each time.
So now for the big reveal. My current weight. I’m not making excuses but I was still partially clothed and it was midday rather than first thing in the morning when I usually weigh myself. That said I’m sure that will only make a few pounds worth of difference. Early 2012 I weighed about 13 stone. I lost a stone and then some, in preparation for a wedding in October 2012. However bit by bit the weight has crept back on. Anyway, now in January 2014 I’m on a mission to get down to 10 stone. My starting weight is:
I will be honest, the healthy eating hasn’t started yet. I’m definitely more conscious and aware of not just eating for the sake of it (and not having take away) but I haven’t started officially yet. I won’t make excuses of why but I have reasons. Anyway watch this space for the weight loss updates…
