So today it’s a month till Valentine’s Day. I’m not really a massive fan of the day myself, but I know that other people like to celebrate. I imagine that my partner will be working and the chances are I’ll spend it at work and then alone once the kids go to bed. Perhaps I’ll take the kids out for dinner since they’re my true loves anyway.
However, one exciting thing that I do like about Valentine’s Day, is the new Lush products that get released. Here are the products on offer this year:
There are 3 gift boxes: Neon Love, Toucan Love and Lots of Love – ranging from £10.95 to £26.50
2 massage bars (Tender is the Night & Close to You), The Kiss Lip Balm, Love Locket Bath Bomb, Neon Love Soap and Prince Charming Shower Gel.
Of all these products, only the bath bomb and shower gel grab me. However with a price tag of £6.95 I can’t say I’ll be running out to get the bath bomb in a hurry. According to the Lush website, this is the description for the Love Locket Bath Bomb:
The outside shell of this bath bomb is full of paper confetti hearts that will float up through the water.
When you break open your Locket you will also find a smaller heart-shaped bath bomb hidden within, that’s filled with agar hearts to create a romantic spectacle in the bath. Love Locket is made with a blend of uplifting and sensual oils to create a luxurious, indulgent Valentine’s Day treat. Create the perfect romantic bath for two and immerse yourselves in a cascade of hearts!
I don’t know about your bath, but mine isn’t really big enough for two people. I mean, we fit and all – but its not exactly a bath you’d relax and enjoy. Does the price tag for this warrant an uncomfy bath for two? Because if not then that’s a very expensive bath for just one.
The Prince Charming Shower Gel on the other hand, is right up my street. I’m a huge lover of Lush’s shower gels and I think I’ve tried just about all of them. Late last year I reviewed their Rose Jam, just after it was released and I’m hoping I’ll be able to find time to grab a bottle of this new Prince Charming Shower Gel. According to the Lush Website, the gel is:
Originally inspired by the Adam and the Ants classic, ‘Prince Charming’, this shower gel has transformed along the way and now it reminds us of the kind of Prince Charming you’d find in a fairy tale…it’s bold and courageous, absolutely gorgeous, and it smells incredible.
The scent is apparently marshmallow, vanilla and pomegranate. I have no idea what that combination will be like but I’d love to give it a try (especially as the name just makes me want it anyway!). That said, I won’t be paying the delivery charges to order from the website and instead will have to wait until the next time I manage to get into Lincoln.
I certainly won’t be holding my breath for an amazing Valentine’s Day but perhaps I’ll be lucky enough to get some Lush? And if the one I love doesn’t buy it for me, then perhaps I’ll just have to show myself a little retail love.
