I’ve been a bit quiet on the beauty front recently, but since these little beauties arrived through my door yesterday, I couldn’t wait to get posting about them. Both the nail polish and lipstick is from Etude House. They are from a new range called Princess Happy Ending. When I saw they were being released in August 2014, I had to get my hands on some!
The range consists of several products, representing 4 different Disney Princesses – Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine and Snow White.
There are only a few products available for each princess, but the one product they do all have in common is nail polish. Not only that, but each Princess’ nail polish actually comes as part of a set – two bottles of polish and either some decals or rhinestones.
Snow White and Belle also have a lipstick each. These are red and pink – red for Snow White and pink for Belle. On top of these, Belle also has two blushers available, both pinky/peach colours. Jasmine has a mascara wand. Snow White has BB cream. And Cinderella has some glitter eyeshadow.
As I knew I didn’t want everything (well I did want everything, but I wouldn’t use everything) I picked selectively. I was torn between which nail polish set to go for, but in the end picked Cinderella. I also have several red lipsticks, so I went for Belle’s pink lipstick. I don’t tend to use blusher, foundation or glitter eyeshadow so I didn’t pick any of those and as I have 2-3 really good mascaras right now, there didn’t seem any point getting that either. As Etude House do a few other Disney products, I also picked up some Mickey/Minnie mouse sequins for nails.
So this is exactly what I bought. Silver Minnie/Mickey sequins, Cinderella polish set, Belle lipstick. The first thing I have to comment on, is just how lovely the packaging is on the Happy Endings products – especially on the nail polish. Each of the little sets of nail polish looks like a book. Incredibly cute!
I was quick to get trying them out, since like I said, I was desperate to post about them as soon as they arrived! I started on the nail polish, deciding that since I had a little spare time, it would be plenty of time to try a few layers and fiddle.
The blue was nice and thick, applying really easily. It has a light texture and sparkle to it as well, which I think looks really pretty. After a couple of coats, I decided to apply to silver glitter polish to every other of my nails for comparison. This is by far the nicest and smoothest to apply, of all the glitter top coats I’ve tried. There is a combination of small glitter and slightly larger sequins and covers really nicely.
Lipstick is just lipstick of course, a quick coat and I was done. Despite there only being a choice between pink and red, I’m really glad I picked the pink (though I’m tempted to get the red too). The lipstick goes on really nicely and as with the nail polish, the packaging is really beautiful.
Though this make up is not the easiest to get your hands on, its definitely worth a look. For any hardcore Disney fan, your make up back wouldn’t be complete without at least one of these Princess Happy Endings products!
