This year my family and I are taking a fairly major holiday this summer. One of my resolutions for the year is to lose weight and get fit, hopefully in time for some great looking photos on holiday. Last weekend, the girls and I joined the gym and I’m pleased to say, I’ve been almost every day since. However there are a few bits and pieces I would love to get, to help me on my journey to fitness – so I’ve made a wishlist!
One of the main things I need is some new gym wear. It’s been almost 10 years since I last went to the gym, so as you can imagine I’m quite lacking. Esprit has a great range of sportwear (as well as other clothes), so I’ve picked out a few bits I would like. As I have quite a large chest, some crop tops and sports bras would be top of the list. As I go almost every day, I need a good hanful of these. Next comes vest tops, preferably loose fitting and long. I’m quite concious of my stomach and bum at the moment so loose and not clingy is a must, then long enough to come down over both my waist and hips. Finally, I’d love some workout leggings and tracksuit bottoms. When it gets to summer I might even like some cropped leggings. I’m lucky enough to have a good pair of trainers so I don’t need any of those right now.
Next comes some extra equipment. Though I’m dedicated to visiting the gym, it would be good to do a little more at home. A gym ball, yoga mat and weights are just a few of the things I would like. All of these are available from places like Sports Direct but even supermarkets such as Asda and Tesco are currently stocking several of these items. A water bottle to take to the gym could also be classed as an extra, though obviously not to exercise with. Having a sports bottle would hopefully encourage me to drink more water, as well as take to the gym with me.
Finally that leaves an exercise tracker. I picked this Fitbit as an example but really any brand would do – top of the range or not. I know that often the bigger brands sync up with more apps such as My Fitness Pal but if you’re not worried about that, a cheaper brand will do pretty much all the same things as my partner has a Nuband which cost only £20 and is pretty fantastic.
These are just some of the items I would love to help me with my weight lose and fitness – I’m sure I could think of a lot more. I’m hoping I’ll be able to update you on my fitness journey over the next few months so keep your fingers crossed for me!
