So a challenge has been set… and as Barney from “How I Met Your Mother” would say…
I found Tabetha at The Closest Intellectual via Kate at Just Pirouette and Carry On… They both have great blogs and you should check them out!! Anyways… Tabetha has set a blog challenge, which is for all ad swappers on her site. However even if you’re not one, you can still join in the fun and participate too!
To begin with there are 5 random facts, and to follow there will be a mass blog giveaway (but more about that later!). So here are my five random facts…
I have Sky + but hardly ever watch TV. I’ve had Sky itself for years and years, but Sky + since 2005. I would never live without it now I’ve had it, but at the same time I hardly ever get down any of the things I’ve recorded. I’m currently at around 18% remaining and have so many movies and TV series to get down. In all honesty, I get a little antsy as I watch my percentage room running out… I have to force myself, my partner and the kids to watch TV for a few days, just in the hopes of getting some space back. However right now I’m fighting a losing battle as I just keep adding more and more series to record!
I have lived by myself (not including the kids) for far too long. I realised recently (due to having my partner move in) I have become very anal about a lot of things around my house. For example: a) I have a shower over my bath which I hardly ever use, but guests always seem to. They never put the shower head back down again. b) the bath mat should always be picked up off the floor after a bath or shower. Who wants to walk in and accidentally stand on a wet towel?! c) If you make a cup of tea (and although I do massively appreciate you making me one) do you really have to leave tea stains and sugar all around the area you made it?! d) if you cut pickled onions on my chopping board, please wipe them up so my next sandwich doesn’t end up soggy. e) I have cream carpets throughout the whole of my upstairs, if you insist on wearing socks that fluff – take them off downstairs!!
See what I mean??
I’m not usually a trend follower, but somehow I’ve accidentally got in on both the moustache trend and the bacon trend. I’ve discovered that you’re not fully aware of how many products are available, geared to specific trends, until you’re involved in them. It really is ridiculous how many bacon and moustache products you can buy. One friend (actually by accident) even managed to buy me a gift that was both bacon AND moustache related. Majority of my facebook uploads recently have been related to either bacon or moustaches. Do you think its just a coincidence that Kevin Bacon is now back on our screen ALL THE TIME?? Am I being taunted?
I love being barefoot but I hate feet. Is it just me or are feet and toes two of the most ugly things ever? I dunno, maybe it’s just me… either way I hate feet and always have. I’m not super keen on my own (especially since I had a broken toe and it mended wonky) but I really hate other people’s, especially guys. Instead of painting my toenails to distract from feet in sandals, I’d much rather just wear ballet pumps. That said, I can only wear ballet pumps that have a big enough section at the front, to not show any of my toes! However, as I said before, I love being barefoot. I hate wearing just socks around the house, so I’m either still in my shoes, or barefoot. I barely even notice if my feet get cold either.
I’m not at all superstitious and often go out of my way to deliberately defy superstition. I used to walk under ladders on purpose (even when they weren’t necessarily in my path), I have no issue putting shoes on a table (other than that they’re dirty) or opening an umbrella indoors. One of my favourite numbers is 13 and I don’t think I’ve ever had anything bad happen on a Friday 13th. I have never; waved, saluted or spat at a magpie (what is with that anyways?), cared that I spilt salt, or worried about crossing the path of a black cat. I probably don’t even know half of the things people are superstitious about but I really don’t believe in it anyway. I also don’t believe in ghosts…
Well that’s my 5 facts and part one of the Bloggie Challenge complete. If you’re interested in taking part then just check out Tabetha’s challenge here, do the 5 random facts and make sure to link back here to where you found me!
