Today’s BEDM challenge is all about being green and eco-friendly. To be absolutely honest I am probably the least eco-friendly person you’ll find. Well maybe that’s an over-exaggeration, but I’m definitely not massively green.
At home we have both a black (waste) bin and also a blue (recycle) bin. I do separate out my rubbish and usually in fact have a very full blue bin, every other week. To be fair though, I do this largely for space and the fact my black bin would be far too full if I was adding all the things I usually recycle to it.
I’m definitely pro electric mail too, to save on paper. However that said I definitely prefer to write down notes in a notepad myself. There’s just something about hand written notes and working from books etc. that I find so much easier.
I suppose if I’m absolutely honest, I’ll be green wherever I can be, if it doesn’t cause me too much inconvenience and doesn’t cost me extra money. Making travel more eco-friendly by tying in lots of jobs in one journey, to me is also cost efficient. However I rarely pick the option of walking somewhere or catching public transport in the pledge for being green.
Sadly that’s about all I have on being eco-friendly though. I can’t rave about being some sort of greenpeace supporter or even reducing carbon footprints. I do my bit, but only a very little of it. I do think its great that people try to be eco-friendly, but I’m certainly never going to be in the forefront of runnings for it.
