I am absolutely dire at looking after my body. Not just skin, or hair, or feet. Absolutely everything. When it comes to my haircare, there just isn’t any. The last time I cut my hair was a while back, when I was trying to get rid of my black. The only reason by feet get looked after is because Chris rubs my feet while we’re watching telly and then ends up cutting my nails while he’s at it. I’m not a lazy person particularly but I just don’t really bother all that much with my own body. Sad really I know.
As such, I have absolutely no skincare routine. Recently I have been noticing a lot of spots on my face and so have half attempted (and I mean I manage a day here and there) to remember to at least use wipes every morning and night to cleanse my skin. However, otherwise – I’m rubbish.
I was sent the Exfolia Microfibre Cloth, to incorporate alongside my favourite cleansing and exfoliating routines. I thought “Why not? Maybe it will help me get some”. Sadly I’m still lazy when it comes to my skincare, but I have to admit I love using this cloth!
Designed to smooth and soften your skin, this cloth also deep cleans pores – removes makeup, dirt, oils etc. It minimises hyperpigmentation, combats the appearance of wrinkles, promotes healthy skin conditions, and allows deeper penetration of moisturises. Its super soft and feels amazing on your skin when you’re using it.
Complete with instructions, this cloth is really easy to use. The feel of the cloth when dry, reminds me of the kind of wipe you’d use to polish your glasses. When its damp/wet, it just feels incredibly smooth. Recommended routine is 2-3 times weekly and you can just use it with your regular shower gel or soap. It leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth and I’ve been very happy using it.
Included in the instructions is something called a 1 minute surprise. It’s suggested that you rinse the cloth in warm water then apply your favourite cleaner to one side of your face. Wash this cheek with 9 gentle strokes, using the cloth. Afterwards wash the other cheek with your cleaners, but rinse and don’t use the cloth. Towel dry and compare both cheeks. You can see and feel how much smoother and softer your skin is with using the cloth. This is something I tried and it really is true – I got great results.
While I’m still not at all motivated to look after my skin, I am glad I gave this a try. I will continue to use it, every time I bathe or wash, but sadly probably not every day! Something I did spot on the leaflet however, was a mention of Exfolia Disposable facial cloths. This sounds like much more my thing and I will definitely be looking into them!
