This time last week (yes, it’s taken me a week to recover… just kidding), the kids, my mum and I all spent the day in Halifax, at Eureka! – The National Children’s Museum. They were having a Little Live Pets event and we were all lucky enough to get special blogger’s treatment, which included gold bands, a light lunch and a lovely goodie bag for the kids!
We got the opportunity to look and play with the Little Live Pets – both the butterflies and the birds. The kids loved them and I’m sure I’ll be conned into one before too long! Not only that, but the girls got beautiful butterflies painted on their cheeks, all because of the event.
On top of all that, we of course got the opportunity to spend the day around Eureka itself. We worked our way top to bottom, making sure we did anything and everything! Both girls had been before, but it was a long time ago. Megan was about 3 and Lily was still a baby. While Megan remember elements of the museum, it was all new to Lily.
There was so much to see and do – even all these pictures don’t really cover it. Eureka is a lovely family day out, with plenty of things for the kids to do, but that adults will have an interest in too. Both girls seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves and even mum and I had a good day too. I would definitely recommend a visit to Eureka if you haven’t been before. Fun AND educational – what more could you want?
