Laptop Skin from Wrappz*

March 9, 2014 by Bel 1 Comment

Last week I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to review a personalised skin or case, from the nice people at Wrappz. They offer personalised phone and tablet cases, along with custom skins for laptops, consoles, tablets, phones, ipods and kindles. As I’ve got a nice phone case and ipad case already, I decided it would be good to add a skin to my laptop!

Making a personalised skin (for whatever device you pick), couldn’t be easier. After selecting the fact I wanted a laptop skin, the step by step process was simple.

My laptop is an Acer but unfortunately the model wasn’t listed under the Acer options. However it was no problem to grab the tape measure and go for the custom size option “Can’t Find Your Laptop Size?”

There are several different options, for designing your personalised skin. You can add images or text, with help videos and previews also offered. Within images there is the option to use your own (which you can upload) or to use ones from the gallery. These are broken up into Artists Images, Slogans, Our Images, Photography and Funny Faces.

I really couldn’t decide what I wanted, so in the end I just searched the web for a picture I liked. Depending on the picture you upload, you do have to click a box that says “I have the right to use this image” (though in all honesty I only just noticed that, while going back to the site and looking, in order to write this review). Anyway after uploading my image, I checked it looked okay and placed my order. The whole process is simple, fast and very efficient.

I received a confirmation email, straight after I placed my order (this was Tuesday evening). By Thursday my skin had arrived (though I only collected it from the Post Office on Saturday – it was too big for the letterbox!). The skin came well packaged in a cardboard re-enforced envelope. When I opened it up I was really pleased with the quality!

The laptop skin came with instructions on how to apply your Wrappz. It’s really easy so basically just a case of peeling it off the backing and sticking it on! Even better, if you accidentally put it on a bit wonky (or upside down like I did!) you can peel it off easy and restick it – no messy, sticky bits or lack of stick afterwards!

I’m really really pleased with my laptop skin and when the girls came home from Nanny’s house both of them remarked on it as the first thing they saw when they walked in. Even better, the skin came with a discount code for 20% off my next purchase (and my confirmation email even had a 10% off code on it too!).

Now for the even better news… you lucky readers, can get yourself a FREE SKIN for your phone! All you have to pay is postage! Bargain right? So visit the site Wrappz, pick which phone skin you want, customise it and then enter the code “freeskin” at checkout. The voucher is worth £7.99 (which is the total price of a skin, though I think you can even use it as discount off another more expensive item) and postage is just £2.50 for 1st Class post (there is a next day option for £6.95 too). So what are you waiting for? Go!
