Christmas Lush – Wish List

October 2, 2014 by Bel

I know, I know – I could have focused on their new Halloween range, but honestly I’m far more excited about sharing the new Lush Christmas products! In store this Friday (I think), the Lush Christmas range is already available on the website. I’ve put together a few of the products I’ll be looking forward to trying, as well as some staple favourites!

I believe all of these products are new this year, though I could be wrong and missed them last year. As such, I want to try them all! There are actually lots of other Christmas products, including soaps, body lotion, dusting powder, cleanser, lip tint and more! However I’m not so fussed about them, so these are just the ones I am interested in.

1, 4 and 10 are bath bombs. They are Dashing Santa, Butterbear and Shoot for the Stars. 3, 7, 8 and 9 are bubble bars. They are Holly Golightly, Sparkler, Northern Lights and The Christmas Hedgehog. I believe 7 & 8 are technically Bonfire Night related rather than Christmas though. Next up is 2 and 11, which are both bath melts. 2 is Star Light, Star Bright and 11 is Snow Angel. Finally 5 & 6 are Shower Gels. They are So White (like the bubble bar previously) and Hot Toddy. I’m a bit of a sucker for trying the new shower gels so these will be top of the list!

While all of these products above are old, they are also ones I’ve previously enjoyed. Money allowing I’ll be hoping to add these to my Christmas shopping this year! a, d and e are bath bombs. They are Golden Wonder, Father Christmas and Cinders. b and c are bubble bars and they are Candy Mountain (my all time favourite) and Christmas Eve. Finally, Snow Fairy – which is a shower gel. I absolutely adore this stuff and every year I stock up to make sure I have enough to last the whole year!

I honestly urge you to go and check out the products yourself and if you love Lush, buy some! I personally can’t wait until I get time to head into Lincoln – as I’m sure I’ll be picking up one or two bits (though my spending ban might mean I get nothing for myself till November *sob*).

Wednesday Wish List – RoseGal

September 17, 2014 by Bel

Last week I stumbled across this clothes website, called RoseGal. Funny enough it was actually an advert on the sidebar of Facebook, but a particular dress caught my eye and it was enough to make me click through. I’m honestly so glad I did as the clothes are ridiculously cheap and beautiful too. I’ve browsed through the site on several occasions and so many items have been added to my Favourites already. Here are just a few of them!

The dress that caught my eye. You might have actually seen it yourself if you’re a user of Facebook, but for me it really stood out. I’m not sure exactly what it is I like about this dress, but there is just something that draws me in. At £25.50 its a pretty good price too.

I can’t decide if its the colour or the shape of this dress that I like the most, but at £13.94 you really can’t go wrong. I’m not entirely sure I have the figure for it but I’m very tempted to find out.

Again I love the colour and shape of this dress. I’ve always had a bit of a thing for a mermaid tail dress and this one is no exception. I especially love the casual ribbon belt. At a current price of £9.51 its also a bit of steal!

Finally, these amazing red shorts caught my eye – though not for me, for Amy! Recently she’s been totally into cosplay and costumes and as I’ve made Liv a Minnie Mouse inspired dress, it amused me to think of Amy in these Mickey Mouse resembling shorts. At £17.21 I was actually quite tempted to buy them for her but I wasn’t completely sure she’d be brave enough to wear them!

There are a whole host of weird and wonderful items on RoseGal and I was especially amused at some of the handbags they have for sale. There’s everything from Rubik’s Cubes to Cats… and more!

If you’re looking for something a little bit quirky, retro or vintage, you should definitely check out RoseGal. The prices are incredibly reasonable and better yet, the postage is free worldwide. Each item has its own size guide on the page, so fingers crossed you can’t go wrong.

Since deciding to write this post, I’ve actually treated myself to one of the dresses I mentioned above! Watch this space to see what I think of it, and of course… an update on whether the site is any good or not!

Hot Topic – Want… Want… WANT List

September 12, 2014 by Bel

Have you ever heard of a store called Hot Topic? If not… why the hell not?! Honestly though, if you haven’t.. that’s probably for the best. I apologize in advance, if I give you a new addiction!

First of all, don’t feel too bad if you haven’t heard of Hot Topic. They are American and sadly they haven’t expanded over to the UK (yet?). They are awesomely geeky stores though so if you have a love for Disney, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Walking Dead, Marvel and DC, gamer gear, band merch… seriously the list is endless… then you will love this shop.

Updated with new stuff, pretty much daily, the site is almost an addiction for a pop culture fan like me. Sadly, the incredibly expensive overseas postage is quite a deterrent from ordering though. The one time I visited America (New York) I actually managed to visit a Hot Topic store and I bought this amazing Gryffindor jacket (coincidentally I’m wearing it as I write this post!).

Anyway the site is awesome and I have a huge wishlist, that pretty much builds every day. From clothes, to Funko Pop figures, from necklaces, to bags – there is SO MUCH stuff I want would like.

Here are just a few of my picks.

This beautiful Beauty and the Beast, stained glass window, glass. It’s currently selling for $6.38, which is about £4. I have always loved Beauty and the Beast and Belle is by far my favourite princess. I used to have this exact design as my phone case but this glass is just amazing!

It’s always been a tough call for me, between Disney and Harry Potter so its no surprise that next on my list is something Harry Potter. This awesome Expecto Patronum necklace is only $9.38 (approximately £7) and even though its gold, I’d still love it!

I originally had my eye on a Beauty and the Beast dress but its been and gone sadly. I’m not entirely sure what it is about this dress (as I’m not especially into Maleficent, though she is kickass) but it just calls to me. It retails at $25.88 (about £16) and I certainly won’t be buying it until I’ve slimmed down somewhat!

This Doctor Who TARDIS Shower Rack is just my kind of thing. Hand on heart, I wouldn’t actually use it in the shower, probably put it near the door for keys, envelopes etc. but I love it. However at $37.13 (£23) its one of the most expensive things on my wish list.

There are loads more things I’d love, majority are Disney or after that Harry Potter. Honestly if I lived in the US, or if postage overseas were cheaper, I’d probably be flat broke (so I should be grateful for that at least). Hot Topic is such a great store and I’m sure it will have be lusting after their stuff for the rest of my life! If you dare, check it out.
