On Sunday morning, our little family headed out for a real treat – breakfast out. While we do treat ourselves to the odd take out and even meal out, its rare we eat breakfast out. As such it was really nice to be able to enjoy breakfast as a family – not only that, but at a really good price since I started preparing this fun pop-tarts recipe.
Our nearest Table Table restaurant is in Lincoln, so usually it’s somewhere we would head after school, rather than at the weekend. However Chris had work and mum wanted us to pop over, so we tied it in with a lovely breakfast first.
There are two options when it comes to breakfast – one is £8.99 for everything including the kitchen sink and £6.99 for just the cold buffet option. We went all in and with the kids eating free (two kids for every paying adult), so did they. After being seated, we were told to help our selves to the Continental breakfast section. This included a variety of drinks including apple, orange, cranberry etc. tea, and coffee too. There were about 6 different cereals, an array of fruit, pastries, crumpets, toast and pancakes. It was a really good choice. On top of that you picked anything cooked that you wanted – so 3 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages and a fried egg etc. There was no limit and we were even offered more afterwards – but this came straight from the kitchen, rather than being out as part of the buffet.
While the food was lovely and the price was really great, the breakfast was definitely made perfect by our server, Geoff. He was friendly, just the right about of chatting and genuinely lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and considering the girls and I didn’t eat again till about 6pm that night, it fed us very well. Kids eat free is an offer Table Table run every day for breakfast, where two kids eat free for everyone one paying adult. I personally think this is great as it’s usually one child per one adult and that makes it hard for single parents or families with more than two children. Good job Mill Lodge, we will be back!
