Ozeri Soft Touch Electric Pepper Mill and Grinder*

I have always wanted an electric grinder and so when I was asked if I wanted to review one, I jumped at the chance! Ozeri is a brand I am very familiar with now and also a make I trust. I wasn’t at all surprised when a very stylish black pepper mill, arrived at my door.

The Ozeri Savore Soft Touch Electric Mill and Grinder* is really a very sturdy yet great looking pepper mill. It’s simple to use, with a twist lock and an easy insertion of both batteries and peppercorns. If I had to pick a downside (though it really isn’t much of one) I’d say that 6 AAA batteries was quite a lot – and sadly, unlike some of the other Ozeri batteries – it doesn’t come supplied with them! That said, its a minor grumble and overall I absolutely adore the blender.

I can honestly say I have used this product almost every day since getting it. The one touch button at the top is just so simple and easy to use. The grinder isn’t even that noisy, despite being electric. I haven’t had a single problem with it and I really am pleased I got it. Now I just need to get myself a salt grinder to go with it!

Ozeri Touch 200 KG / 440 LBS Digital Bathroom Scale*

November 27, 2014 by Bel

As everyone who reads my blog will know, I’ve been dieting since April of this year. It’s a slow process but I’m getting there bit by bit. I started off at 13 stone 3 lb and at last weigh-in, I was 11 stone 8 lb. I still have quite a way to go to my 10 stone mark but I’m feeling fairly positive. A few weeks ago I got some new bathroom scales from Ozeri. They’re not just basic bathroom scales though, as they also measure body fat, hydration, muscle and bone mass.

The Ozeri Touch scales are a nice sleek design with a clear display. They can be programmed for up to ten different users as well, so they are great as a family set of bathroom scales. They retail around £30* and can be found on Amazon.

I gave the scales a pretty good trial run – leaving them in the lounge for a few days and weighing myself most days. They seem to be fairly accurate, though differ from my regular scales by about one full pound. These are far nicer looking though so I’m not going to complain about being a pound heavier.

The scales are really easy to set up and come with an easy to follow instructions booklet. I took pictures of each of the digital display screens – and my phone kindly made me an animation out of them!

If you’re looking for a nice new set of scales, in a modern looking style, with clear display and easy use – these could be just what you’re looking for. They suit everyone from the sporty to the non-sporty and even have a set up function to allow for the more athletic person. I’m very happy with my new scales and hope to get plenty of use out of them!

Ozeri 4×3 Motion Digital Pedometer*

September 26, 2014 by Bel

A few weeks back I received a digital pedometer by Ozeri to review. I’ve had a few items from Ozeri in the past and they’ve all been great, so I was really excited to try out this pedometer. As you might know, if you follow me over at www.TwicetheMum.com – I’ve been attempting to lose weight since April of this year. As part of that, I’ve been tracking my steps using My Fitness Pal app and the built in tracker on my iPhone 5s. However, while I’m at work, I’m unable to have my phone on me, so I’ve struggled to get an accurate reading during the day.

Setting up the pedometer was really easy. It came complete with batteries and just a tab I needed to pull out to activate it. You start by entering your weight, stride length, date, and time. Then, you simply carry it around, either in your pocket or around your neck with the lanyard provided. The instructions note that the pedometer works best when it’s stable and not swinging freely. Equipment user manuals often provide these practical tips, helping you get the best performance out of your device—like when I use the lanyard, I keep the pedometer tucked in for stability! Additionally, if you need electronic parts, then make sure to consider sourcing for electronics projects here.

There are lots of great features on the pedometer. Not only does it tell you how many steps each day, along with the date and time etc. it also tells you how many calories you’ve burned, miles and so on. Each day it resets (using the time and date function to know when each day is), so I know that when I pick it up in the morning, its already back to zero and ready to track my steps for the day. It also has a sort of sleep function, if it doesn’t feel movement after 30 seconds. This reserves battery life and means they should last longer. Of course, the second you move, the pedometer wakes up again and carries on tracking.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this pedometer. It might be a simple device for tracking steps, but its a really well put together one. Its easy to use and I’ve had no problems with it what so ever. In fact, since starting to wear the pedometer on the lanyard and wear it around my neck for work, I’ve also added my locker key and this is the perfect height/place around my neck to reach my locker.

At the end of the day, I submit my calories/steps to My Fitness Pal app, in order to gain the calorie allowance. I try not to carry my pedometer and phone at the same time however, so I don’t double count any steps. I’ve been really pleased with the pedometer and I still use it absolutely every day.

Ozeri Curva Artisan Series Double Wall Beverage Glasses and Tumbler Review*

October 4, 2013 by Bel

Everyone in the house is getting really sick and sadly I’ve not escaped it! I’m full of cold and starting to cough somewhat too but I’d promised myself I’d get on top of a whole bunch of blog posts this week and so here I am!

Today I want to tell you about some Ozeri Artisan glasses I was kindly gifted, in order to review them! These glasses are from the same makers as my scales that I blogged about, back in September.

The glasses arrived a few weeks ago and on first impressions I was immediately sold by them. They are genuinely such beautiful and curvy glasses, that I actually just fell in love with them. The packaging they arrived in was incredibly good. Both the box inside the outer box, then the glasses inside the inner box. Nothing was damaged which was a bit of a surprise considering the way the post gets treated sometimes!

I took a whole load of pictures because I like to document these things properly. I’m actually very glad I did though as the box contains a lot of the information you need to know and also far better pictures than I could ever acquire with my iPhone camera.

Each glass is individual in style, each one a little different. However as they are all handmade, they are also unique in the sense that no two glasses will ever been 100% the same. The glasses hold 8 ounces, which is just less than a large glass of wine!

One of the many great things about these glasses is that they will hold both hot and cold liquids in them. As they have double-walls, the heat doesn’t burn your fingers and the cold doesn’t cause condensation (and in turn wet hands). They are dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe, which I think is pretty awesome! Though I haven’t tested the freezer part, they certainly work fine in the dishwasher and microwave.

Despite looking quite fragile, feeling light and delicate, the glasses are incredibly strong and hard wearing. As I said before, they were absolutely fine in the dishwasher, not even a chip.

So a few Sundays ago, we had a roast dinner, complete with very chilled wine! As you can see, no condensation and very pretty glasses ;) If I could have afford to do so, I would have bought another set, to have at our Murder Mystery the other night. However when funds are a little easier, I’m definitely going to buy some more. I think they’d be really lovely to have out at a dinner party. Don’t you?

*This product was gifted to me free of charge, though all views and opinions are my own
